There are times when you need to perform a lot of mathematical and physical conversions, for example, in case you are working on a project or you need to solve tests for school. In this case, using pen and paper can take a lot of time, so it's best to use computer software for helping you with your conversions. One of the programs which can help you in this matter is Converber.

Since the download weighs in at less than 1MB, you should be able to download Converber in no time at all, even if you are on a lousy internet connection. And once downloaded, the application will be up and running in no time at all – just a few clicks during the setup wizard and the app will be installed and running.

Speaking of running, this Xyntec Automation-developed application will work just fine no matter what Windows version you’re currently using. It works without a hitch on Windows XP, it works on Vista, and it works on the latest iteration of the Microsoft-developed OS, Windows 7.

And it works free of charge. Because Converber is freeware, you can use it for as long as you want without having to pay a dime. What can you use it for? Converber is a powerful unit converter. Via its simple layout you can access a large amount of conversion units – something that can prove to be useful in day-to-day life or could prove to be useful for educational tasks.

Using the software is a very straightforward process. From the left pane you can select a unit – for example, pint. From the right hand pane you can select another measuring unit – like liter. Now type in the amount of pints you would like to convert in liters. Type in, for example, 10 in the left hand box and in the right hand one the result will immediately appear. In this case, 10 pints = 4.73 liters.

To help you locate a specific unit, the software comes with a search feature. To help you stay up to date, it also comes with a check for updates button.

You can launch the Windows calculator from within the app. In this regard you need only click the calculator-looking icon from the user interface.

Pros

It has a very simple and intuitive interface. Besides that, it offers numerous conversion options. What's more, it allows you to save favorite conversions.

Cons

Some professional users may not be pleased with the application. Converber is a comprehensive and powerful unit converter that does not cost a thing and works without a hitch on all Windows versions.
